lab safety

it's important to wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when working in the lab around chemicals!
- a lab coat will keep your clothes free from chemical wear and your surroundings safe from contamination. metal buttons are preferable for ease of removal in the case of a fire
- goggles will keep your eyes safe from splashes. use fitted splash goggles for the most protection.
- long pants or a skirt will keep your legs safe from chemical splashing. make sure your ankles are coevered!
- close-toed shoes will protect your feet from chemicals and glassware. make sure the soles are strong and impenetrable!
